Build Your First AI Agent

From sign-up to a live chat widget on your website — a complete 10-minute walkthrough.

This guide walks you through the entire Elvix setup: creating your account, training your AI agent, testing it in the Playground, and embedding the chat widget on your website. By the end you will have a live AI Sales Agent answering your visitors 24/7.

Step 1. Create Your Account

Start at the Elvix onboarding and sign in with Google (or create an account with your email). Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial and 150 messages — enough to fully set up and test your agent before you decide to upgrade.

Step 2. Complete the Onboarding Wizard

After signing in you will be guided through a short onboarding wizard that collects everything your agent needs to start selling:

  1. 1Business qualification — your company name, website, and what you sell.
  2. 2Data upload — add up to 5 important pages from your website and upload PDFs with product info, pricing, or FAQ. This becomes your Knowledge Base.
  3. 3Agent configuration — give your agent a name and a tone of voice (professional, friendly, etc.). The system prompt is pre-filled with a proven sales script — you can edit it later.
Don’t have content ready? You can skip the data upload and add sources later from the Knowledge Base section. The agent works even with just the system prompt — it will still qualify leads and collect contacts.

Step 3. Test Your Agent in the Playground

Open the Playground in your dashboard — it is a live chat with your agent. Type a few realistic visitor questions to see how it responds:

  • Ask about pricing, features, and availability — the agent should answer from your Knowledge Base.
  • Ask as a hesitant prospect — the agent should qualify, handle objections, and collect a contact.
  • Mention a clear buying intent — the agent should direct them to your CTA link (booking, payment, or product page).
Where the answers come fromMessages from the Playground go to your AI pipeline, which searches your Knowledge Base and generates a response using your agent’s settings. Each user message and AI reply counts toward your monthly message limit.

In Deploy & Integrations → Sales Links set up to three links your agent can offer to prospects: a Product Order Link, a Stripe Payment Link, and a Calendly Link (for bookings). The agent only uses links you configure — if none are set, it collects the prospect’s contact details instead. See Sales Links.

Step 5. Embed the Widget on Your Website

In Deploy & Integrations → Website Widget copy the embed code and paste it into your site (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace — any platform). The widget appears as a floating button in the corner of your site. Full instructions: Embed the Widget.

Step 6. Go Live & Monitor

That’s it — your agent is live. From here on:

  • Leads arrive in the Leads section and as email notifications the moment a qualified prospect is detected.
  • Chat Logs let you review every conversation and see how the agent is performing.
  • Analytics shows message volumes, leads, and conversation trends so you can spot patterns.
You’re all setWelcome aboard! If you get stuck at any step, use the support chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard — our team replies quickly.
